This is the very first podcast post ISTE and we are doing it up with some tech based aspects of our games. In this particular episode we are discussing the power of video trailers to launch students into new aspects of our game. You don’t need to be the next Steven Spielberg or have the Pixar team behind you to make one of these videos. Just have a listen and learn some great ways to integrate this into your teaching flow.

In this episode Adam and I discuss the use of video trailers to motivate and inspire students to action. Here is a list and links to several of the resources we discussed.

iMovie (get a mac!) – light and free video editing software that is super easy to use.

Final Cut Pro (again, get a mac) – Powerful video editing software

WeVideo –Online video editing tool (cross platforms)

KeepVid – Download youtube videos

Freesound – Great site to get free sound effects

Audacity – Free Audio editor (cross platform)

Sound Trap – The google docs of audio editing. Share, create and build music online

Flip Grid – Short video interactions with students and teachers. Powerful tool connecting people together
